After our caving adventure we were off to Whakapapa Village to conquer the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. There weren't a lot options for eating out and none looked particularly appetizing. Although we did check and the Fergusson's Cafe did have gluten free options, a frittata and baked potato.
We stayed in the Fergusson Motel Units which are managed by the Chateau Tongariro and come with a small kitchen. So we cooked meals of gluten free pasta with veggies and tomato soup with lentils.
